The Butler Did It: A delightful comedy that spoofs English mystery plays; but it has a decidedly American flair. A weekend at Ravenswood Manor on Turkey Island, home of society dowager with a reputation for "clever" weekend parties, Miss Maple, brings together a group of detective writers assuming the personalities of their fictional characters. The hostess has arranged all sorts of amusing "incidents," ranging from heads in hat-boxes, revolving bookcase to a corpse in the wine cellar. When an actual (unscheduled) murder takes place, the motley group ends up tripping over each other when not tripping over clues, in hopes of gaining the reward offered by their hostess. Laughs collide with thrills, as the true killer is unmasked and almost everyone turns out to be someone else. A comedic "seat-grabber."

Produced by special arrangement with Baker's Plays.
